Back to the Game: A New Chapter as an Independent Maker

Authors

This is part of a funny picture I took at Odense (Denmark) this summer.

Hey everyone! I've been mostly quite lately, and I wanted to share some updates with you all. First things first, as you may know, I left my job at Postman back in June. It was time for a break and some quality family time.

For the last four years, I've been managing a team of super smart people. Some of them are now looking for a job, make sure you hire them before someone else does it. But here's the thing - I've never really seen myself as a manager, let alone a Director of Engineering. Don't get me wrong, it was challenging, but I started to feel... overwhelmed. Can you believe I even got anxious hearing "AsyncAPI"? Me, the “AsyncAPI guy”, as some people call me. Burnout is real, folks. Clearly, something had to change.

So, what's next? I'm jumping back into the game, but this time as an independent maker. I'm going to build cool, small tools and services to help you get the most out of AsyncAPI. After all these years, I've learned a ton, and I'm ready to create some top-notch tools with awesome user experiences.

Some of you know, I've been obsessed with user experience for the past couple of years. It feels great to get back to my roots - building products that people love to use. And now, I've got all this extra knowledge to make them even better!

I'm excited to start this new journey, and I can't wait to share what I'm working on with all of you. Stay tuned for some cool AsyncAPI tools coming your way soon!

Got any ideas or suggestions? I'd love to hear from you. Let's make AsyncAPI even more awesome together!
